"Mother Of Pearl"

MOTHER OF PEARL

Gotta keep movin, gotta keep groovin
Gotta take care, gotta beware
Gotta take time and make up our minds
To live in fear or get in gear!

It's a mixed up planet, a crying piece of granite
Broken and scarred but it's our back yard
And if we really care we'll clean up the air
Create fields to roam, cause the world's our home

Lord bless our souls as the world unfolds
Let the children know there's room to grow
In the new rebirth of our Mother Earth
In the new rebirth of our Mother Earth

Gotta keep movin, gotta keep groovin
Gotta take care, gotta beware
Gotta take time and make up our minds
To restore this world to a Mother of Pearl
Restore this world to a Mother of Pearl!

"Chickadee"

CHICKADEE

Wild and free
Yet so close to me
A miracle
Called chickadee

Little bird
Sweetest song
Brightest white
And black belong

To this childlike
Feathered friend
Who stands so brave
Through seasons of Maine

A day cannot go by
Without a passing word
To my little
Chickadee bird

OH UKULELE
Oh ukulele
You are magic
Sweet soprano
Sing your song

Oh ukulele
Strings of joy
Brighten my day
With your charm

"One Day In Maine"

ONE DAY IN MAINE
One day I went up to Moosehead Lake, pitched a tent and stayed up late
Got up early with the sun, ate some donuts one by one
Jumped inside my new canoe, then checked out the mountain view

Slowly started to paddle out, from the distance heard a shout
Look over there! to my left in the shallow inlet there was a Moose!
And then another! A family of them under cover

Eating green and slippery weeds, from the water under trees
Mejestic soft with velvet coat, they looked at me in my boat
As if to say

Hey! Have a nice day! I returned the look and went my way
Couldn't have been a nicer day on Moosehead Lake
One day in Maine

"Big Black Bear"

BIG BLACK BEAR
Big black bear you don't scare
Me in my yard, as you stare
I've seen you out there, how do you dare
Eat my birdseed with no care

Your coat is shiny black as night
You're big and round and got some height
I kinda like to watch you eat
then walk away on all four feet

Cause I know, I should beware
And not get friendly with YOU bear
I'll have to take away your treat
It's summer now the birds will eat

And you can travel on I'm counting
That you'll stay up on that mountain
Go on now, you've had your share
Eat my birdseed don't you dare

Big black bear
You don't scare
Better beware
Big Black Bear!
